Whelan Builders has been working with Hines Lumber, Paul in particular for 15+ years. He is punctual in returning phone calls and easy to communicate with, whether it is via e-mail or telephone. He has no problem putting in the extra effort pricing out multiple products and/or lines so that I can provide my customer with pricing options. He is knowledgeable about the pros and cons to various products. When I ask him for a favor he does everything within his ability to help me out. I have never had a problem getting lumber delivered when/where I need it. In addition, my husband enjoys going to the lumber yard and seeing everyone! My fiance and I walked in to order supplies for new siding. We werent greeted by anyone although there were two men sitting at the front desk. The older gentleman wasn't friendly or helpful. It was like we were a nuisance being there. We asked for vinyl siding and he said they never do vinyl but on their website it says they do. He said "well we don't". Unfriendly, not helpful. We'll take our business elsewhere. Absolutely no customer service skills.
