This is a nice big park in the middle of Eugene that is suitable for many activities such as picnicking and bike riding. That's exactly what I was doing here. The bike ride was great except for the fact that it was raining much of the time. The picnic shelters and restroom facilities are above average for a public park. This is a great place for everyone.

Beautiful park with awesome running and biking trails through meadows, along the river, and around a lake. Just missing a playground for the kids!

Alton Baker Park is a great park for all ages and sports. There are beautiful biking and hiking trails and the famous barked Pre’s trail. Frisbee golf, fishing and even areas you can swim in the river. A wonderful dog park. A canal you can go kayaking. A large covered picnic table and many benches and smaller picnic tables in many spots. Just an all round wonderful peaceful and serene place. No more homeless camps in the area.

A beautiful park that has its own trails, ponds and Willamette river flowing on one side. You can take a walk or ride a bike or simply sit by one of the ponds and watch ducks and geese playing with be water. A few trails were closed for the public right now, but without that too, it pretty much gave the pleasure to my eyes.

Of course. As U enter the park canoe rentals is on the left B4 the frisbee golf. Have a great day Kevin
Yes dog on the leash is cool. There's a dog park off the leash area to.
I have seen people do it! You need your license tho. :) they stock it and have a kids fish free day-
Plenty of events throughout the summer!
There are two sheltered eating laces that has their own built in cooking places but yes you may bring your own BBQ. If you do that and side you bring something to extinguish the coals so you are not driving home with them or leaving them still going in a pile back at the park. Just a bottle of water or a container to fetch some from the Willamette River
No there are way to many people that use it every day
No they all have a home. Be it their spot or a house its a home. Why introduce a discriminating view point about this person or that person. Why can't we all just be humans? Update you think you don't like seeing homeless everywhere. Imagine people staring at you everywhere you go. Just because they are to afraid to live outside. A house gives a sense of security. I used to be a professional criminal. It doesn't protect you. it makes you an easy target. Google a bump key before you rest assured at night cause any moron can open every dead bolt in seconds of they have the idea to Google it. Hell try embracing the idea.... I bet you'll same more then switching to Geico. What on average about 12-24 Grand a year. Imagine how much less lumber gas chemicals blah blah blah would be saved if we all skipped houses and had a more efficient barn idea for winter. Instead of all the buildings we could have a natural landscape with just housing pods for winter. But then you might be friends.
You can enter the river around the park (I often take my dog in after or before dog park). And, people kayak on it. But, yeah, in the RIVER, river, not the little parts around the park, it can be very fast, and people have drowned. People often go in around Division Ave/River Ave. It's calmer there, but, ALWAYS, EVERYONE, WEAR A LIFE JACKET!! This includes pets!! And, there's always Fern Ridge, just out of town. I think there's a fee, but, it's great for swimming, especially with kids!

The last time I was there, the rental person was west of the docks where there was a rounded spot that jutted out a little. You would have been able to see them from the bridge as you crossed it going into the park.
I believe that you can arrange for a party or that sort of thing and reserve one of the "picnic covers " and arrange for the parks people to turn them on. But there is definitely the facilities for cooking and all that.
Hi, I am unsure of the cost. I do know that you can rent the facilities.
I have no idea, but do know you have to walk to the rental location.
There is some places for wheelchair accessible
Alton Baker Park would not be the place to use a pontoon boat. A pontoon boat would be great to use in a lake for sure though.
