Great place when main campground is full, plus campers are usually spaced far apart.

Good safe place to dry camp. I was there in February. RVs sparsley scattered throughout the level lot. Used a kiosk to pay for my spot. Campground is centrally located allowing me to go off and explore what the Valley had to offer. Weather was excellent that time of the year.

Great location for parking ur RV any size, also has a non generators section be nice quiet but a good walk to restrooms.

Ok, so it looks like a parking lot. But a nice grassy campground would be inconsistent with Death Valley. This is actually a very nice campground. Large sites, flush toilets, dump station, potable water available, you can run your generator during the day, no trees to block your solar collectors, and you are in the middle of one of the most spectacular places in the country. We stayed here in December and it was great. I don't think I'd want to stay in July. $14/night ($7 with a Senior Pass.) 30 day Max stay.

The campground was open as of Sunday, but the bathrooms are locked and the water was shut off.
No, but water is available and dump stations. Also generator hours from 7am to 9pm
It wasn't when I was there in early December.
