I chose not to work with Vanessa because my initial call with her and my follow-up correspondence with her both suggested that she has too many clients on her hands to give any of them much attention. She also used pushy sales tactics over the phone—rushing me to sign up because "summer is almost over and people won't want to go for dates when the cold weather sets in," bad-mouthing her competitors, even bad-mouthing IJL branches in other cities. Whenever I asked for specific details about their screening process, the level of specificity of information they provide before a date, etc., Vanessa would start to get impatient ("Like I already told you..."). My impression of this company seems entirely in line with the combative way in which they have responded to the negative reviews here on Google. I'd say that this might be a fit for you if you are looking for something more involved than online dating apps and have too tight a budget to really invest, but to give you a realistic sense of the level of service and attentiveness you should expect, you might look at the following email correspondence I had with them (note that this is before signing a contract): Dear Vanessa, Had a great time chatting with you on the phone today! Here are my follow-up questions: 1. How many male clients are you working with currently? And if you feel comfortable sharing, how many from among this pool meet my specific preferences (religion, ethnicity, children)? 2. Beyond checking a driver's license, what screening do you do with your clients? Do you verify their education, work, income, etc.? 3. What information about my potential date's ethnicity, religion, and family plans would I learn beforehand? What would I learn about their education (only degree type, or also institution?) and work (only a general field, like "entrepreneurship," or something more specific than that, e.g. "consulting")? Is there an option to see a photo beforehand? 4. I'd love to hear a testimonial or two from your successful clients. Could you put me in touch with 1-2 former clients who can share feedback about their time working with you? Look forward to hearing from you. ——— And Vanessa's reply: We are working with hundreds of male clients. We do not have a set number because that changes daily. Last week alone I brought on 40 new clients. As we discussed, you will hear a bio on each client that you will go out with. We do not have clients give testimonials because we are 100% private. We work with a lot of high profile people. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I have only just stared with “it’s just lunch” and everything has been great. Dating apps never worked for me and I always felt I was looking in the wrong places. Vanessa and Briana have been amazing. It has been a long while since my serious date but they helped me by finding women that they thought I would match well with and made the arrangements for us to meet. I was nervous before the first date but Briana gave me some advice. The date went so well we spent 3 hours just talking over wine and planed to meet up next week.
