You need to fill out a new registration form I believe and the same as you would putting any vehicle on the road.they have a drop off window and you drop all the info on the vehicle( insurance and all other forms)with a blank check then they call you when it's done.

As far as I know, drop off is only for residents of Wayne county at this time. If you are a resident, they might make an exception. Give them a call is my recommendation.

You can actually get a letter from the original lien holder stating that it has been paid completely and attach that to your title.

You can make an appointment but also you can put your papers in the DMV night drop off box and have your paper done by 4:00 the day. But write on you envelope if you like it mailed to you are you wanna pick it up. Make sure you do put you DMV paper in an envelope with your name and what your trying to to do and a note in side the envelope if your going to pick it up or have it mail to you. They also asked me to put a blank check with it. I filled out who it was be paid to and sigh it. If you going to make and appointment just keep calling them until you get through. GOOD LUCK.

If you call the Lyons DMV they do have people to answer the phone and guide you with any questions you may have.

If you have a MyDMV account you can do it right on the website by going to online services section. Otherwise, you can go on the NY DMV website and print the necessary paperwork to fill out (it will tell you what you need and have links for paperwork). The Lyons DMV has a Dropbox and they will call you about it

Depends on the year of the car my car is a 2009 I registered it back in October when I moved back to NY it ran about $200.00 only because I bought it here in NY. If you bought a car out side of NY you will have to pay sales tax on it when you go to register it.
