We got there early to try and avoid a long wait. Still ended up waiting about 20-25 minutes for the hibachi chef, but we had no problem with that. Our drinks and the soup and salad came out quickly in the meantime. Everyone was friendly and the food was good. It was my toddlers first time seeing hibachi and, even though the chef wasn't super enthusiastic, he enjoyed the little show. We got 2 hibachi steak/shrimp combos with fried rice, 1 sushi roll, a beer, and 2 iced teas and it came to $103 after tax, so expect to spend a little more.

The Sushi is great, I've been eating here since the 80s. The hours google shows are wrong. They close after lunch at 2 and reopen for dinner at 5:30 on weekdays according to the sign on the door. They don't open until 12 on weekend.

Hi, im using this answer to post a question. Weird I know but I don't really have any other way to to ask. I am spanish and currenrly living in Madrid. l lived in Metairie when I was 12 (49 now) and shogun made a memorable impression. The little black boat. And mainly the lobster in egg sauce. I have been trying to get the recipe for years but haven't been able. Any chance anyone could find out how it was made? Would be amazing...thanks in Advance!
