Without question my favorite sushi place in the greater Nola area. So so fresh, small space but great knowledgeable staff who aren't afraid to make recommendations. The salads are unique and delicious... I'm currently over the moon with the albacore kimchi salad.. It's delicious. Sashimi deluxe is great value and variety of fish.. All buttery and melt in your mouth good. Kanno is one reason to go to Metry.

The best sushi in the New Orleans area, hands down. Everything is delicious, fresh and very high quality. I feel like I’m back in Japan coming into this small but welcoming restaurant. The food comes up very quickly and after eating here a dozen time, I can confirm that you will not be disappointed. I typically order the nigiri and sashimi, but my family loves the various special rolls. The wait staff and management are all so friendly and helpful, so that makes it even better. They serve daily until they run out of fish, so sometimes they close earlier than the posted closing times. Also, you have to call ahead and make a reservation to dine in but that can typically be done on short notice (did it 5 minutes ahead recently). The reservation time blocks are not an issue, you will have plenty of time to enjoy your food and not once have we ever felt rushed.
