From Satellite pictures I was not sure of parking but on arrival found a nice lot with easy access to the Pillars. Very nice.

Beautiful spot to take pictures. we took out our kayaks at this point as well, be very cautious of rocks if you are kayaking and take out at this point, right before you get to the point where you take out there are a bit of them that you could get yourself caught on

Really neat place to stop and visit to see the riverside land formations. Not something typically seen in Indiana. Not much to the site -- just a small parking lot close to the river. But a neat thing to see, nonetheless.

Such a beautiful spot to enjoy nature! The pillars across the river look so stately holding up the bluff above them and the river this time of year is peaceful and calm. The trail just down the road from the pillars is beautiful, well-kept, and runs along a small, rocky stream for a while.

A reminder ACRES Land Trust does not have any river access points on any of our nature preserves. There are only hiking trails available. If you're interested in water activates, check out public or DNR owned access points in the area. Thanks!
We went yesterday. The river is very low. We walked and pulled the kayaks as much as we paddled. This time of year I would not recommend kayaking that stretch of the river. We put in at the dam.
No, there is no public camping. Unless you are part of the Miami Indian Nation.
I believe there is still a campground there that is only for Miami Indians. We saw people camping there when we visited just a month ago.
ACRES does not offer picnic tables or an open area to picnic at this site. You are welcome to bring snacks and find a place to sit along the trail or at the pull-off for the pillars, but please do not obstruct other hikers.
There are some hiking trails on the opposite side of the road to the east of the pillars. They are a couple miles, but nothing too difficult
Dogs are allowed on all ACRES preserves, but must be on a leash and stay on the trails. These forested trails are safe for the whole family, but are marked as "moderate difficulty." You can check out the trail map, length, and other information on the preserve page at: acreslandtrust.org/preserve/seven-pillars-nature-preserve-and-seven-pillars-of-the-mississinewa-landmark Happy Trails!
