Not sure why this had such bad reviews. I had a very positive experience. Didn’t have to wait at all and all the employees were very kind and helped explain everything to me.

I made an appointment online. Went in person to bring my paperwork needed in. Had the appointment number written down like the website demanded . They didn’t need it and they refuse to use it. 🙄 Sorry, I don’t know my child’s social by heart.
+Only plus is the fast service.

Try going to the dmv first. Sometimes they can issue your ID with your birth certificate and 2 official proofs of mail with address. Address had to match the address on your ID. Not sure if they still do that. Worth a try

I called few days ago to the Social Security Administration because I was needing the same information and they said that I need to fill out the form SS5 en send it by mail with the proof of the change of my name, in my case the proof was my certificate of citizenship. I hope this information can help you.
