This is my favorite bagel shop in Los Angeles. I love that they take the time to bake their bagels in-house. The bagels are soft and chewy and have a particular “belly” crust which adds a nice bite and crunch to the bagel. I love their topping options, but the smoked salmon will always be my favorite. These bagels are definitely worth waiting in line for! Try their iced mint tea!

Put this place off until the very last day of my LA trip. I’d been afraid of waiting in line for a long time. It ended up being probably 15-20 minutes to order, and then another 10 minutes for the food, maybe because it was a weekday. They charge 2.99% as a credit card processing fee. There’s a sign on the window that states they charge a fee when paying with credit card, but it doesn’t specify the %. They have parasols to block the sun for people who are waiting in line. There were also a couple of misters close to the order window. There are a few tables on the sidewalk for dining. No indoor dining, but they allowed people in to use the restroom. We got our bagels before we got our (bottled) drinks. Someone forgot to get those to us, so we had to ask. Same with the table next to us. The food was good but not worth the hype or price. I definitely wouldn’t wait an hour like some people apparently do.

This is a place I would highly recommend. The bagels here look really good to the eye and actually taste good. Coffee is ready in a little while after ordering, and bagels may require a long wait depending on the order volume. However, it is worth the long wait to eat.

I would usually never categorize myself as someone who would enjoy paying $20+ for a bagel sandwich. But here I am, and I’m unashamed to say it. There’s just something diff about these bagels that I’m willing to pay the premium. They have such a tender crisp and forgiving chew. And the lovely staff just make you want to love them and look past all the dollar signs. Definitely am coming back.
