Home Pros was professional, quick, thorough, and competitively priced. Someone was at our home to do a walk through for an estimate within 24 hours of our request. We had the estimate on hand within 2 days, and the crew was at our home working the following Monday. They power washed, repaired our wood rot, and got our painting done in 3.5 days, which would’ve been 3 days had a storm not rolled in. Throughout the entire process, Edwin, John, and the entire crew were sure to answer any questions we had with knowledgeable responses in a timely manner. I cannot recommend Home Pros enough if you are looking to do a home project!

Home Pros took on the project to repair and stain my timeworn decks and they did a great job. I like their straightforward online scheduling system for onsite estimate, a thorough digital quote with ample explanation, and efficient email communication directly with the owner from beginning to end. (I also like the French bulldog appeared on the quote they send me, I hope it is employed by the company too.) The second half of my project was scheduled on a really hot day when heat advisory was in effect, but the Home Pros crew led by Oskar showed up on time, worked swiftly, and finished staining my decks as planned. I appreciate their hard work and professionalism. Home Pros is an internet-savvy and trustworthy company that meets my need and expectation, so I recommend their service to my fellow Kansas Citians.

I was very impressed! The initial bid process was very thorough, quickly scheduled and completed. When I reviewed the initial six pages (!) of information and called for a correction, it was completed that same day! Camille and Edwin worked up the two bids; Oscar and Ivan did all the work in only two days. They did a good job!! They removed popcorn ceiling finish in a bedroom and bathroom, applied knock down texture, removed two layers of wallpaper in the bathroom, repaired some previously completed (poor) work around a new window installation, and painted a two story stairwell. I plan to call Home Pros again for next summer's project!

We hired this company to repair some wood rots a couple days ago. Ron was very helpful walking me through and came up with an itemized estimate. Oscar and his crew did a great job repairing and painting everything. Overall good experience at the moment.

This response is very general and by no means meant to be a resource for you to make a decision on your particular project. Any house built prior to 1978 is assumed to have lead paint so lead safety practices have to be taken by contractors. This means additional cost for the contractor which will get passed on to the homeowner. Only way to get out of this is to have your home tested and have it come out negative. In the state of Kansas the state is the governing authority. In the state of Missouri the EPA is the governing authority. Our company is certified to work on pre-1978 homes both in Kansas and Missouri.
Any home built prior to 1980 should have their popcorn ceilings tested prior to removing. I some instances popcorn texture has been know to have asbestos in it. Our company policy is that homeowner should provide us with test results prior to us starting the project.
For walls we typically apply 2 coats of paint whenever there is even a slight color change. If the walls are being painted the same exact color then typically 1 coat is all that's necessary.
