Beautiful walking path can't wait til it's completed and we can go further!

Great walk on the trail. Needs better signage as you cross the road that enters the state park. Strange stairs along the way. Where do they go? They go up Egon.

Although part of the "Greenway Trail" this "leg" is very short. It's very picturesque however the only way to get to either trail head is parking in one of two Hammonasset parking lots. There is no parking on the West end. The path itself is sand paved, well maintained and is very comfortable on the feet. Once you hit the end of the trail you need to do an "about face" as there is no logical loop however to extend your walk/ride you can venture into Hammonasset State Park which is a nice feature.

The trail and parking are free. The parking is directly on Rt 1 and fills up early on weekends. If it's full, continue east to the Madison park down the road. Always room there. The bike path alongside the beach is nice also
