Impossible to even make an appointment over the phone. Was hanged up on, called a second time and the new patient coordinator was so rude. If that is the way I am treated just tying to make an appointment… I do not want to know what the rest of the experience would be.

Yes, you still need a mammogram if you have dense breasts. Yearly mammogram screenings are still very important for early detection, as many cancers can still be seen on a traditional mammogram. Mammograms help save lives. However, up to 50% of cancers will not be seen on a dense mammogram. Fortunately, there are supplementary diagnostic studies that can be used in addition to mammograms for women who have dense breasts. An ultrasound or MRI, in addition to a mammogram, significantly increases detection of early stage breast cancers in dense breasts.
