This is the only post office in this area that you will always have to wait 15+ minutes in line. They’re drop box for packages is always locked forcing you to wait in line forever.

When the post office opens, go and take two different kinds of real identification, and two utility bills, bank statement etc. proving identity and residency. Request new keys. I think it's $40.00 to provide you with new keys and your p.o. box lock changed. I hope this helps.

SOMETIMES THE MAIL GOES IN THE WRONG DIRECTION AND TAKES TEN TIMES LONGER TOO GET THERE ! I MAILED SOME PACKAGES A WHILE BACK AND IT WAS GOING FROM LAS VEGAS TOO CARSON CITY ! IT ENDED UP GOING TOO ILLINOIS AND THEN TOO ARIZONA AND BACK TOO CARSON CITY ,NV ! WHEN THEY FINALLY REALIZED IT WAS GOING THE WRONG DIRECTION THEY CORRECTED IT AND SENT IT THE CORRECT DIRECTION !
Verify which P.O. delivers to your address by calling the closest one then speak to the clerk and let them know.
Make sure you filled out a forwarding address form. Sometimes it takes some time for the system to forward. Your mail carrier will be marking your mail to your old address with a "f" then you will receive a yellow sticker on your mail showing the forward. Forwarding address form are on the website or you can go to the post office and fill one out. Make sure to change your address on all mail coming to your old address

IT COSTS ME $75 AT THE UPS STORE ! IF YOU GO TOO THE USPS ITSELF ITS ABOUT $100-$150 IM NOT SURE HOW LONG THAT IS BUT I THINK ITS 6 MONTHS IF I REMEMBER RIGHT !

it would be in your best interest to go the the location that services you. they will direct you to the proper procedure, and set up a hold for your mail at the post office until your new keys are obtained.
You can come in and ask for a mail hold for a max of 30 days or you can do that and once you move you can file a permanent forward of mail to your new home

Yes you could do it by phone or on line to request a vacation hold..
