Questions & Answers

I often struggle with chronic headaches, sometimes even migraines. I read somewhere that a chiropractor might be a way to relieve the pain instead of using pain pills. Can chiropractic treatment help me with my headaches?

Lane, great question. Absolutely, Chiropractic is know to help with the relief of migraines without the use of medication. Often a decrease in neck curve with head forward posture can increase the likelihood of someone experiencing chronic migraines. Clinically, I have seen the loss of neck curve cause a variety of issues including; neck pain, headaches, migraines and even low back pain. There is also literature that shows postural and spinal biomechanics can play a role in these types of conditions. The most important thing you can do is get evaluated properly. In my professional opinion that would include an exam, radiographs and consultation.

What is Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP®)? Someone said that it could help me with my chronic neck and back pains. I sit all day at my job and my back and neck hurt all the time. Could CBP help me?

Travis, Great question. Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP) is a modern Chiropractic technique that focuses on posture deformities and spinal curve correction. Have you heard someone say, "Sitting is the new smoking?" Sitting all day at a job can be very hard on your body, especially on your posture. It makes complete sense that you would be experiencing chronic neck and back pain When we lose the proper curves in our spine it puts extra pressure on your nerves and spinal cord. As your bodies spinal biomechanics break down, this can create the neck pain and back pain you have been experiencing. It can even cause headaches, numbness and tingling into the extremities and over time, possibly disc budging that could lead to bigger problems down the road. The most important thing you can do is a proper evaluation of your spine and posture. We are located in Millcreek Utah a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah. If you are close, I would be more then happy to speak with you.
