I went in for the first time and It was about 15min before an employee approached me (only because I got closer to the counter) and all he asked was if he could help me with anything (first time customer so I was lost) and so I just asked about the yu-gi-oh boxes behind him that I didn't know were not the newest ones out. They were older more expensive items which I wasn't interested in and so I walked away. An other gentleman only asked me if I needed help but I felt as thou because I don't look like a "nerd" I wasn't helped out properly anyway I ended up buying a yu-gi-oh game mat. Probably won't be going back. It was awkward
In a Nutshell
Pros: + Large selection of TCG and Board Game product - For an out-of-the-way shop located above SLC, the heart of Utah, they carry almost anything you would go to a hobby shop looking for + Clean Space - While being a smaller shop they keep it incredibly tidy. There is not a lot of redundancy in their display and everything is kept in a position that is easy to see, as well as their space to sit is very spacious for being a small shop. + Friendly Staff - The staff at this location is extremely conversational and good for helping newer players not get caught up in the ever increasing production of low-quality product. They almost always greet you upon entering, and usually strike as Non-Judgmental; a growing problem within most TCG communities. Cons: x Incentivizing competitive play within casual formats - This location does great at keeping entry costs for tournaments low; However I notice specifically with "Casual EDH nights" they incentivize the win by procuring rewards, and then turn their later weekend date into Competitive EDH. How is it casual if there is insentivation to win? This, however is more of a pet-peeve then something that can really be held against them. x Product Price Inflation: I have invested quite a bit of money into this store, however I have noticed most items will have a price hike of 5-10 dollars more then market pricing for the product directly. This is not a bad thing, however over time it tends to drain more money when there doesn't seem to be much change directly in store with the added value to push past this point. x Out of the way - As lightly touched upon before, the location does not provide what could be considered out of the usual for a game store. Thus, with its location, it tends to gain less traction then competing stores that have more upsides. Overall, this store is a great place to go for an off the cuff purchase or a free night of fun, but with the prices above average and the skewed perspective on the term Casual, I would set your sights a little deeper into the Utah valley. However, with a bit of an extra incentive to go, like more community-welcomed interaction, or a larger selection of harder-to-find product, this could be the perfect LGS.

A good place to go if you need to sell any cards of any type. 8/10 would go back.

Nice card shop, great selection of cards, always pretty clean or organized inside. They are very friendly and helpful.

Yes
From what I have seen they do not let anyone in without a mask.
We do, we have a process but if you bring in your collection we can have teach you how trade in works and get your collection evaluated and an offer
Yes they do, though it depends on individual card value and relevance.
Both, but the individual card selection is very poor. And the price is a little higher than other places, not to much higher.
They don't take baseball or LOTR cards
Yes, you just need to check in on Facebook to get free access.
This is a public forum, not run by the store. I recommend calling the store to find out what they have in stock
