We were here for the horseback riding instead of camping. It’s a fun trail, and Dan was such a great experienced guide. Beautiful place, like I’m not kidding. In the future will definitely come over more, a decent weekend getaway spot.

The campground is located near Whitewater State Park, which is a beautiful state park. The main highlight for me is the lack of mosquitos. Something about the river makes it have less of them. The campground itself has spacious sites, a good sized pool, an arcade, volleyball net, kids playground and a jumping pad. You can also do tubing down the river and horseback riding for additional costs, which we didn't do since it rained. They do have wifi, but it wasn't very strong unless you were close to the office. We had very little if any cell signal. If you don't like noise, I would not pick a site near the playground, as kids were thoroughly enjoying the jump pad and let everyone know it. :) The bathrooms were ok. Coin operated showers, so be prepared. I think I got about 2 minutes of water per quarter. If someone flushed the toilet while you were showering, the water pressure dropped significantly and it wasn't that great to begin with.

Great location for a trout fishing base camp. 15 minute drive to many good streams! We were pulling brown and rainbow trout right from the river passing through the campground.

One of my favourite campgrounds in Southern Minnesota. We stay here every spring to use a base camp for trout fishing. The campground is always well maintained with plenty of space in each campsite. Showers are coin operated but a hot shower is always welcomed mid trip. We had a 2 man tent, a 6 man tent and a small van RV on our site with plenty of space to move around. I have pointed many people to stay here. River runs right through the campground so you can fish from the campground if your heart desires.
