The rest of the park is great. the skatepark? not so much. the ground on 75% of the park is rough, not many obstacles for beginners, and the most skate-able part of the park is almost too small for a larger group of people to enjoy. with all the other space, I’m surprised there isn’t more for the skatepark to offer.

Yes. People ride scooters here but take turns with skateboards and bikes
I have no idea I've never paid attention to that I usually just go to watch the kids football and soccer games.
It's on and off, weekends can get pretty packed but on week days it can be completely empty.
Scooters still go there
It got torn down because it was made of wooden ramps that were in really bad shape. If you look up freedom skatepark on YouTube you can find videos of it.
