Selection is the biggest strongsuit of this place. Outside of that all 3 of my visits have been rather negative. Games are pretty expensive even for retail markups, with my most recent example being picking up a 360 game that has sat at a $10 average complete for months, and they're charging $15, and the manual isn't even included! Retail markups are understandable and expected, but a markup of a 3rd of the total value when items aren't even complete is ridiculous. Besides that, my very first experience was also overpaying for another game and not realizing it at first but with the added benefit of the desk employee not giving me the trade-in credit we had agreed on and hadn't realized until I checked my receipt later at home. Be careful if you're trading things in and make sure you have an employee who's actually attentive to you if they're handling trades. Lastly, just be careful for those with hearing issues as several displays are uncomfortably close to their usually blaring speakers. The music they've played every time I've been there has also just been god-awful, with the sounds of the Guitar Hero arcade cabinet being the only source of reprieve from that day's grating whiteboy™️©️ autotune-chorus rap pulled out from the gutter. Needless to say having that painfully blaring in your ears, swiftly giving you a headache when you're just wanting to buy an Xbox 360 game is not a pleasant time. DVD Game eXchange - at least in Orem - definitely wins out on selection compared to most other places in that area, but you can do far better on price and shopping experience, which matters more in my opinion.

Good selection but unreasonable return policy. Bought a PS2 and an HDMI adapter, got home, saw we didn't actually need the HDMI adapter and went to go return it. Was less than 2 hours later and they wouldn't even offer store credit, it was a shame because we were going to buy a lot of other items as well but ended up going somewhere else. I hope the owners reconsider their return policy because otherwise it was a good store.

This store is AWESOME!!! I try to come whenever we are in the area. The prices are sooo much better than GameStop, especially when it comes to Wii and DS. The customer service is friendly, and the place is always kept tidy. The SNES games are usually about $10 to $20 overpriced compared to Ebay, but the hassle of waiting for the game to be delivered makes it so much easier to buy it here, and to be fair the prices on Ebay vary. The 3DS systems they have are quite well-priced, I have not bought one but have researched it quite a bit. The games are always in premium condition, and they don't seem to charge extra for original cover or anything, though it doesn't usually make much difference. I bought a copy of Pikmin for the Wii and it works great! Will definitely be coming back here, as well as to their other locations! 👍 UPDATE: I would give 10 stars if I could! I brought my New nintendo 2ds xl in to get the R button repaired, no appointment. They took it in casually and without hesitation!!! The staff were so friendly and helpful! They told me that it would take 7 to 12 business days to fix, but it was ready the next day! It was much cheaper to fix here than anywhere else, and I had taken it several places before but they never had the parts on-hand. one place had no idea what they were doing and said it would be close to $250 to repair, but apparently it's a common problem that they get all of the time and DVD game exchange did it for only $35!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can play Minecraft on my 2DS xl now! Thank you so much DVD game exchange!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GameStop has stopped carrying anything past Wii U and 3DS, and on the rare occasion when they have Wii and DS games, they are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. I bought a Sonic the hedgehog DS game from another store for $10 with the case, and just the cartridge at GameStop was $60!!!!!!
