It had been under renovation for a long time. It’s cool to see the mansion without all of the scaffolding strewn about. They have lovely Christmas parties here. Holiday get togethers. I love seeing this mansion decorated with tinsel & holly. I also love to see this mansion basking in the setting summer sun. I have never been inside, but if I ever do get a chance to find my way into one of the Christmas parties, I will say, “Shine your shoes governor?” With the heaviest English accent I can muster.

The Tours are by appointment only. If you go to the westside gate there is a phone number there to call. You might also call the State Capitol they could also give you more information. Come see it in the early summer/late spring when I have all the flowers in full bloom there! Shortly the tulips near the south entrance (inside the gate will be in full bloom, I planted that full of Monster Red Tulips it will be Awesome to see!.. But I change it out for my spring planting after the flowers die back) Check it out!
