Trying to get genealogy records while living out of state is frustrating. Genealogy requests are only done via snail mail and the web site is confusing. I requested a record in May, received a letter in June for additional documentation, and responded to their request in June. I didn’t receive any updates for 3 months, and then I receive another letter saying that the needed documentation is still outstanding. I tried calling the number on the letter, but there wasn’t any answer after 25 minutes on hold. I filled out the online contact form, and the employee that sent me the letter called my cell number. She called just after 4pm, and when I received her message at 4:15, the office was closed. She sent a follow up email, and I promptly responded. I have not heard back. The status of my record request is unknown. It’s frustrating because I’ve sent $50 for two records that I feel I may never see or receive an update on.

I writing to complain the office stated I needed a form a reg 27 a today when I called to receive a birth certificate. I called before to ask what I needed in wasn't informed of this but the worker was white not being rasict but why is it that ingnorance is so common with white folk . Anyway the worker must found it funny cause I haven't seen the form in hopefully she's fired .as well another worker I believe she was Mexican just hung the phone up in my face . I feel your office is very unprofessional and in it's sad that this kind of disrespect can go go overlooked but GOD SEE ALL IN KNOWS ALL BELIEVE THAT Serious red flag when worker are not trained correctly or just find this a way of being fun nothing is funny about someone wanting to get their identity. So others can know what or who they are dealing with. But as 2 pac says if you to fly 💸🕊️ ok hit the door 🚪

I have waited 8 weeks so far and still have not received mine
If you weren’t married to him you can’t get him death certificate.
You can apply by mail or online. Go to the State website nj.gov/health/vital
They don't have date yet to open if you need a birth certificate or death certicate go to vital check they send your papers quickly.
I need to know the same thing that they told you
Yes parents can always get there children’s birth certificate. Even when they are adults!
Yes only in Trenton will you be able to get a NO RECORD OF MARRIAGE!
NJ stuff only the other appropriate paperwork you need has to come from the home state it occurred.
From vital statistics DOH.
Only cash or check apparently. Was there a few days ago and had to leave to get cash.
I called first, since I had to travel a distance to make sure. But, it was an speedy process & great service.
Your license/I'd, Proof of Address, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, Passport
You have to send for them at the office of vital statistics in that country.go on the website good luck

I went to the building and got mine. If you do it online it takes 8 weeks.
It’s 25 dollars for first time copy

Hi Victoria . Since the whole covid situation. They are not doing walk in . If you need anything you can go to the website https://www.state.nj.us/health/vital/contact-us/ https://www.state.nj.us/
Not open in person gotta do it online
If you were born in NJ, you probably need your birth certificate reissued at the DOH office.
Very easy in person. Don't know why there is a phone issue. Could someone stop in there for you to inquire? Also, there is a basic request form they could send you that may help. The form could be online or there could be online instructions for people at a distance.
www.nj.gov/health/vital
You can send the application by mail and have it returned to you by mail.
Depends how you ordered it, by mail or online.
All he needs to do is apply with a current drivers license and he can get his birth certificate with his parents names on it.
Yes, it's still true. You can order online, by mail, or in person. Go to the State website www.nj.gov/health/vital
I D proof of address
As long as you get there before 3 pm
Social security card driver's license with your picture and a lot of patience remember it's the United States government
Michael Walsh it’s not by counties. Birth certificates can be obtained in the municipality where the event took place or Trenton(State). County has nothing to do with vital records. You can get it in Newark too!
Photo ID (Drivers License) or Passport with proof of address!
This office is demographic registry and has nothing to do with passports!
Here no identity card is used. Seeking information from the embassy
Since your father is deceased you can’t add him. He would of had to sign your birth record since he cannot you can’t add him.
Each municipality charges a difference fee. The State(Trenton) charges $25.
You would need to give them a notarized letter indicating you are giving them permission to obtain it for you.
You must know date and place of death, parents names and be related to the deceased. Must be spouse, child, parent, sibling or grandchild!
Provide proof of current address!
You can send him to look for Trenton, NJ by mail!
25 and a copy
for now I do not have that information but I think you can call to make the infolmation more direct
If you don't have ID 2 proofs of mail 2 show who you are
just look for it in google birth certificate n.j
Malik you’re giving wrong information. In Trenton, NJ it’s $25 for first certified copy and $2 for each additional one!
my brother lives in Chicago that he's sending me his copy so I of his birth certificate social security and a copy of his license for his residency am I able to pick up a copy of his birth certificate for him at Jersey
Either a passport or a document that shows your full identity, including date of birth & photo. Google search the # and call for detailed information. 📱
If you go in person, it'll be the same day, you'll just have to wait in office. If through the mail, it'll take longer...over a month I believe but you can always expedite the birth certificate application when you send it back. 📮
Just go there they are very helpful
Photios you can order only via VITALCHEK
Just the info and your I'd in case of a child the parent ID
Tough one. I'd go there and ask them. Me?.. I'd get my NJ DL first. DMV is 3 blocks down the road from Vital Stats at the corner of E Front and Stockton.
The mailing address is NJ Vital Statistics, PO Box 370, Trenton NJ, 08625
The city you were born in or the State office in Trenton. Except for Jersey City.

I do not work for vital statistic's. You would havevti call that particular office!
You must order from the State Office
www.nj.gov/health/vital/ and click on forms and print the REG 27A
