Avoid! Save yourself the headache and just go to Traverse City for equipment rental. Unprofessional, smells like weed, and had me go in their shop to make repairs to the tool before it could be used! Way better equipment and customer service in Traverse City!

I am incredibly disappointed in this company. We had them booked, in conjunction with u-haul, to help load and unload u haul boxes for our recent move. The workers that were sent to our house to help with loading were great and efficient. We were more than excited to have them unload the u haul boxes a few weeks later. They were booked 2 weeks in advance and we called to confirm. Upon our call on Friday, just 3 days before our move, the owner informed us that he was no longer willing to send his workers out for us as we were going to live too far away and they were too busy. These are all valid reasons, but why wait 3 days before the move and leave us scrambling? And more concerning is would he have even informed us that he was not going to send his guys if we hadn’t reached out? Universal is unreliable and I do not recommend. EDIT: as a response to the owners response. I rarely leave reviews and when I do, most are positive. We scheduled our move with “my moving help” and u haul confirmed. It was never discussed universal would not unload our things. If there was no intention to handle our move, it should have never been accepted through these avenues. We have since found help by a very accommodating and professional company. To be clear, we are not upset that you could not do the move, we are upset it was never told to us as we took all appropriate avenues to confirm our appointment. We would have been waiting at our house for this company and we would not have known they weren’t coming, left high and dry. The only reason we knew they weren’t going to show was my husband called to confirm details, 3 days in advance, which was not required. Thank you.
