Used to volunteer here before I started my college classes or after my classes. Great place with people who actually care about their animals. Amazingly trained staff and wonderful big doggos !

Volunteering here is a wonderful experience. Everyone is lovely and the dogs are amazing. There are always less than 10 dogs in the building - they focus on a small number so they can give them the best experience. Sending in an application to adopt is super easy and you’ll have a high chance of being contacted about a dog you’re perfect for! Adopting from or volunteering here is a great choice! Something to keep in mind is they are not doing walk ins at the moment.

This is a kill shelter!! So if you have a loving pet that you can no longer take care of DO NOT TALK THEM HERE! When you call they will even tell you that they will have a high risk of getting euthanized because of how many pets they have!!

Hi Lester, I'm sorry but we don't; we only handle dogs and cats.
I am almost certain that they do because as far as I know all shelters have a very wide variety of dogs and cats in many different breeds and sizes, as well as personalities. I suggest that you go directly to the facility take a tour of the kennel area, ask an animal care technician for help, call them, or go to their website to view pictures of all the animals they have available for adoption and to see what other information you can find. I sincerely hope that you find the dog of your choice and give him or her a forever home. Good luck to you!
No cats/kittens, just dogs. Please visit our friends at www.zoomiesanimalrescue.org
Do you still have any of them?
They do not.
Volunteers are not paid at this facility.
No
Yes, you will have to fill out a junior volunteer sign up sheet on there website. And also attend an Orientation then your all set. Hope this helps :)
Street Tails is not licensed to handle wildlife, only dogs and cats. Sorry!
I have been feeding a beautiful multi color fluffy female cat , she has wondering the area for about 2 years I was feeding her , I am assuming she has been spaded since she never had kittens . I moved from the block 6 months ago , but I still drop off food at diff spots in the driveway. I don’t want to see her get hurt , I have a cat and dog myself already , I cannot take her in. Can you provide any suggestions on what I can do before winter kicks in.
Are you still looking for a home for them.
Sorry, no. Just dogs and cats.
No
