Beautiful Hiking Trails through thick forest just had a control burn on them though

Parked at gravel parking area, crossed the highway and walked a lengthy 3.5mls. out and 3.5 mile back. Took about 2 1/2 hours to reach the lake with the old stone foundation and small water fall spill over on the other side of the lake. Hike was not strenuous, just long. Took a total of 4 1/2 hrs out and back. We almost turned around. Path was well traveled and easy to follow.Take plenty of drinks and some snacks for this one..and wear good shoes.

Nice trail, fairly easy hike but we chose a bad weather day, made it to the lake and the skies opened up on us. One of us was prepared with a rain jacket, the other wore all cotton and was soaked through.

Great trail with almost zero traffic on it. We did section 4 of the pinhoti with a 9 year old over a 3 day weekend and saw 5 people total on the trail. The path is not add beaten as other large trails but it is mild hills and beautiful woods with a waterfall.
