The lake and beach are beautiful. The lifeguards are friendly and also are alert and attentive. Particularly grateful for the kindness of the manager, looking after us after closing due to a car issue. I highly recommend this place!

Clean, opens early, not crowded at all. We were there on a Saturday. Reasonable prices. Some shady spots on the hilly area created by shade trees. The view is very pretty and it's a pleasant place to be. You need a full body air mattress float, one per person, in order to float in deeper roped off area.

Yes Steph, the only place that swimming is allowed on Cedar Lake is at Poplar Camp Beach.

The beach will be open 7 days a week until August 12, after which we will begin weekend only hours. The last day of operation for the year will be on Labor Day, September 3.
Dogs are not allowed at Poplar Camp Beach. Also, dogs are not allowed in the water at Cedar Lake as per city ordinance.
