Beautiful place and nice sandy beach with refreshing lake water. May be packed on weekends but still big enough to find your spot and get settled. 2 separated by plastic tubes areas: for little ones and another more deep. Water and beach pretty clean. 5$ entrance each car pay in automat on your way to the beach. just by card, no cash option.

It is open. $5 per day use fee paid by credit or debit card @ kiosk.
There are grills and you can bring your own.
It has been open. We swam there last week, during the week.
Haven't went today, but we went on Sunday memorial day weekend. They had a barrier up, but you could get to beach and multiple families did. Tried going back that Monday and whole area was closed due to flooding. I'd say it will probably depend on how high water is.
It's closed now, usually after labor day
You can't take any drinks on the beach
Shelby County doesn't have the money to put in water heaters
Yep it's open. There's people here
It's 5 bucks per car they have 2 boxes with envelopes 1 by the beach parking and one by the park parking they do check every so often
$5 everyday
Yes as long as beachgoers have been responsible and picked up their own trash. The beach had to be closed after 4th of july weekend due to litter on the beach. You can check the army corps of engineers Facebook page for up to date closures. They have also waived the day use fee for the year!
Optional and they have some there for communal use for children.
Lake shelbyville has multiple public access beaches including one near Sullivan. I prefer dam west beach in Shelbyville because it has nice amenities including a shower house and picnic pavilions. The beach is also located a few miles from fast food restaurants and walmart if you need something you forgot.
It should be, unless people couldn't pick up after themselves again.
Closed today because people can't pick up after themselves. Will be open tomorrow.
What are you wanting to know is open? All beaches and boat ramps are open and fishing the spillway. The campgrounds are probably booked with the chance of a first come first serve site or two.
No it's not, it's closed do to flood levels
No. Everything is super flooded and not safe to swin in. Every beach I've seen has been blocked off
The beaches are open at Dam West Recreational Area (9th St) and Wolf Creek State Park on Lake Shelbyville.
