We went for lunch today, and were impressed with the attentive and professional service, the quality of the ingredients and the menu selections. Mostly sandwiches for the lunch menu, with salads available. Many add-ons are available for your sandwich (with upcharges) like avocado or bacon. There are cocktails, wine and bottled/canned craft brews along with the usual soft drinks. The restaurant is comfortable and cozy, with a relaxing and casual atmosphere. A small outdoor patio out front can also accommodate your fur buddies if you like to dine with your dog. We were greeted immediately, as were other diners arriving after us, and everyone is friendly. Our server was also so pleasant and attentive, and she really contributed to the great experience we had. Parking in town is really tight, and while there is a very small gravel lot available via a drive between Good Harbor Grill and the Pine Cone ice cream joint, only about 8 cars can fit back there, and it's murder to turn around and get back out if you drive in and it's full. We plan to go back to check out the many menu items specific their breakfast and dinner menus.

I thought about this review for awhile... And decided it was worth posting. We came here as a family of 4, our two teens got the sirloin steak entrees. We asked for medium rare due to them only offering this cut of steak. They came out more than well done. I felt bad for asking but thought for two $40 (each) 6 oz. sirloin steak entrees, we should get it the way we requested. Our waitress was MORE than pleasant and really wanted to help. After about 20 mins, and mine and my husband's dinners getting cold, I asked how the steaks were coming along. Our server went to "check" and them came back with one steak. She informed us the kitchen said the other steak would be another 7 minutes. I said there is no way a medium rare steak would take 27 minutes. I asked for her to request the steak right away out of the kitchen. She returned shortly with the steak, and of course, both steaks were well done....again.... She said the kitchen told her they thought the steaks were too raw. We were over it at this point and requested the bill. Our server sent over a "manager", which told me was "just covering" for the real manager. She was rude and dismissive, and couldn't have cared less. She had no business interacting with guests. Glen Arbor is full of amazing restaurants and quite a few hidden treasures. There are plenty of other options especially for this price point and level of service.

Great food freshly prepared. Truly local, bread from next door, local beer. Gotta respect a nautical themed, Great Lakes grill that looks like it hasn’t changed anything since the 70s.

Walked up was told it would be 45mins before we would get our food and at almost exactly 45mins when my white fish sandwich showed up. It was absolutely amazing, actually blackened (the spice blend) and not charred to pieces. I've really got to hand it to the waitstaff and cooks; they are holding it down. Seriously delicious One star off for having no covid precautions.
