Come to this place. Come for the food, for the drinks, for the staff, for the view. But, above all, come for the food. I promise that you and your dining companion(s) will look at each other in amazement and say "why did we not come here sooner?" And then you will be quiet -- so that you can ponder the taste of food made with imagination and the freshest of ingredients and the love that only an inspired chef can use to turn the ordinary into the sublime. Enjoy the blazing sun as it sinks into the lake, lean back and allow yourself to bask in the attention of devoted staff, sip your finely crafted cocktail. Those things are a bonus. But, above all, come for the food.

Wonderful view of the Manitou island and Lake Michigan are topped off by spectacular food and excellent staff. I had Swordfish with shrimp and lobster sauce, hubby had chef's signature Duck Confit.Crab puff appetizers were just the right start to dinner. Our server Mary was very knowledgeable about the menu and did a great job. Definitely will go back

Randy and team Blu continue to exceed your expectations when it comes to both the cuisine and excellent service. Also can't beat the view!

We love this place. Definitely high end with price and quality. The food, staff, and ambiance is wonderful. Only place in Northern Michigan I feel is worth it's price. Their duck confit and prime rib was delicious. The ruby slipper cocktail is awesome. We also did their Supper Club during the winter and the set menus the chef made were phenomenal.

Do not blindly listen to what others say. I just called Blu and the hostess said dogs are allowed on the patio seating, but they usually don't take patio reservation until the day of, to see how the weather is.
We are closed the next 3 days, if you need one soon please call now, thank you!
No dress code. It's one of the nicer restaurants so I'd wear something nice, but no dress code per say.
I wouldn't call it formal, but dress like you're going to Jordan Belfort's Beach house party if you're going in summer. Collared shirt, nice shorts or slacks, sun dress.
