We went here on the way home from the beach. It was free and it was one of the better free museums I ever went to. I highly recommend coming

Nice place!

Informative, very clean, never too crowded, with nice traveling art exhibits & activities for kids every month 🤩.

History buffs will thoroughly enjoy this museum. Half of the Museum is dedicated to art but I never made it because of time spent in history. Museum covers broad aspects of Florence County history including: the rise of Tobacco as the regions main cash crop, the growth of Florence due to its status as a railroad hub and junction for two interstates, the growth of industry including; Dupont, Honda, Thermo Fisher, QVC, Ruiz Foods and Harbor Freight. My favorite display was the remnants of the Atom Bomb, accidentally released over Mars Bluff in 1958. Unbelievable but true! There is no admission fee to this Museum.
