Honest Abe Log Homes is the best! Our family has used them more than once. A smaller cabin built from the ground up, and log siding for an older, partially log home. We found them to be very helpful with modifying the design of the log home our family chose to best fit it's purpose. They delivered and provided the crew to build the log home shell with our family opting to finish out the rest. On the older log home, during a remodel, it was decided to put log siding on the outside - part of the original home was log. We worked with Dan Smith and his team at the Murfreesboro location and highly recommend their services.

Dan at Honest Abe was great to work with when building our new house. I did a DIY build, and with their dry-in service, it made it possible to build a really nice house at an affordable price. We went the eco-panel route, and we were able to obtain Energy Star and Zero Energy Ready Home certification. We did run into a few issues during our build, but Dan and Josh worked to make it right every time. Our dry-in contractor Darrell was great to work with as well, and he was very accommodating to some of my odd energy-saving tweaks. We're actually considering building another one for my mom.

While we've manufactured a number of very small cabins over the years, for what is most commonly understood as a tiny home (built on a trailer frame), no we do not. Thank you for the question.
Honest Abe has a division, Cooper & Company Designs, that offers design services from the time the floor plan is drafted through the final decorating process, both interior and exterior. Designer Molly Cooper is housed at our national headquarters in Tennessee, but she works with clients nationally, specializing in log and timber homes and commercial structures.
Yes, many of our customers over the past 40 years have brought in their own ideas. We've seen many of them roughly sketched out on an envelop or napkin! We have an in-house design team that can turn any idea into floor plan for a log cabin, timber frame home or a hybrid. Our website features some of the customer designs that we've created, including plans and renderings and in many cases, photos of the finished homes.
