I lived in Madison Flats for about two years and moved out about 2 months ago. It was my first apartment on my own. I just need to share my experience so that others don’t make the mistake of moving here. The first year I lived here it was great. Quiet, friendly neighbors, no problems with management. Then year 2, the management changed and the entire place when downhill fast. This management only cares about getting money out of you. They constantly lost records that I had already provided, charged me constantly for ridiculous fees. Pretty sure I was paying extra for rent because of “renters insurance” after they forced us to get our own, and another “fee” that they brushed off every time I asked. With the new management, I was receiving emails almost one a week about changes, charges, and things being closed (laundry etc.) The biggest issue I had was when they didn’t fix my shower for almost 4 months. I put in a maintenance request to come have it fixed after a part broke. (Could still use the shower but only cold water) they said the part would have to be ordered and it would take a few weeks. Waited a month. Someone came to look at it again and completely ripped the entire shower system out of the wall so I couldn’t even take a cold shower. Was told “projects this expensive have to be approved and an actual plumber would have to fix it.” Ok great. A few more weeks went by and I called and they said “I will ask the maintenance man when he comes back from break and give you a call to update.” No call. Called back two days later and was told my request wasn’t even in the system anymore???!! I threatened them with legal action and they finally got their garbage together and fixed it….more weeks of waiting later. My neighbors were always nice though and the outside was always clean. Heard gunshots and police often in the surrounding area though so I didn’t feel that safe alone, especially at night. The renovations they did look nice, but don’t look too hard because you’ll see they just painted over nasty old cabinets and it’s actually full of cobwebs. The walls are also paper thin and as soon as your neighbor starts to smoke weed or cigarettes, you’ll smell it in your apartment. This place is absolutely not worth the ridiculous rent they are charging. There is so much more to say than what I’ve mentioned so take that as a warning. Do. Not. Move. Here.

Terrible place to live where do I start. These apartments have a bad energy around it I noticed when I lived here my mood wasn’t the best, neighbors are always getting into literally every apartment to the point the police is there almost daily. The neighbors are always in ur business, always tryna sell you something every time you walk out your house. If you say anything to management they will try their best to petty with a fine, etc. easy flipped apartment just paint over everything even dirt. Apartment reeked of cigarettes on move in day. Be careful with shipping the apartment address is 135 Brinkhaven and sometimes packages accidentally go to APT 135. I had a $1000 package go to the wrong apt when I left a friendly note about the package the woman called the police on me and said I threatened her with a gun end that she was going to get me evicted for ASKING ABOUT MY PACKAGE. Everybody here is crazy from the management, maintenance to the neighbors. STAY AWAY ITS RENOVATED PROJECTS.

move in date had to be pushed back a week due to a leak which caused me to have to book another hotel for a week which is expensive in Nashville. Ended up being a $100 short for the move-in fee, and i couldn’t still move in which sucks because i liked the unit and I could’ve at least got my application refund.
