did the 3 course cocktail. these are strong full sized cocktails that are worth every penny and hit all five senses. great service and has speakeasy vibes. would definitely come again next time i’m in chicago.

Amazing experience. Great cocktails. Unique presentation. And our server, Dora, was phenomenal! Highly recommend.

We got the full 7 course at the kitchen. I liked all the cocktails, but I really loved the green bean one. The food was great too, none of the dishes disappointed me. The crab and the duck dishes are soooo good. Service was great too, we got seated immediately and stsrted the experience almost right away. People complain about the size of the food, but this is expected. Anyways we were full at the end and we thought it was great experience. We made the math and is about $35 per cocktail with dish.

I love the book. I love the concept and service was fantastic (i.e. Michelin star fantastic), but honestly the experience was lacking. I came here an got the five cocktail pairing with food. Two cocktails were good but not particularly special (a gin infusion and a banana gin sour), one was mediocre (a vodka sour that was way too hot until the ice melted after 20 minutes), and two were so horrible as to be undrinkable (a bourbon/Campari cocktail that was basically Campari and bourbon with ice then poorly “flamed” and a Guinness / rum mixture that tasted like something a college freshman would mix in their dorm room). On top of that, they rushed us through all five within a single hour, which is downright irresponsible. I’ve read their book and made cocktails from it. I know this place can do better. Ultimately, this is the problem: fundamentally this is a cocktail bar. It can do everything else great but if the cocktails aren’t good then it isn’t either.

They typically offer a limited number of walk-ins every evening.
Yes.
Heard about that. Regardless of ones politics, civilized people (I hope) find that kind of behavior abhorrent. Makes me wonder what else the waitress is capable of, while on the job.
Yes. It is a common practice for them
Anywhere from 15 to 50 dollars or more. There is an option for multiple courses on cocktails. That is a flat rate. I highly suggest you go with that, just make sure you can get back home/hotel without driving :)
