Deacon’s treated us like gold. Where to even start… My husband and I got into Nashville late on a Monday evening. It was a pit stop on our way to St. Augustine, FL, where we would get married the following Friday. We walked into Deacon’s in our road trip clothes, about an hour from closing, and apologized for our dress and no reservation. They were very kind, and after about a 10 minute wait we were seated. Before we even ordered, we were brought two glasses of complimentary champagne as a congratulations on our upcoming marriage. After a long day of driving and a few things not going as planned, this was such a kind gesture that we will always appreciate and remember! Plus, the bubbles were lovely. Our entrees came and they were incredible. The pork shank was cooked perfectly, the pencil grits had that rich, comforting goodness, and the spicy crawfish pasta tasted like Heaven. But the absolute STAR of our dinner was the shareable side of greens! They were tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. These are, without a doubt, the BEST greens I’ve had in a restaurant, ever. Period. No question. What made the food even better though, were the attitudes of the entire staff. Everyone from the hostess stand, to behind the bar, to the servers, to the kitchen crew, looked like they enjoyed their job. Big smiles, lots of laughs, professionalism, kindness. It was so refreshing to see everyone in such a wonderful mood. Dining is an experience, and everything counts. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the service, all of it. Deacon’s is doing something purely joyful and right for Nashville, and if you’re visiting or even local, do yourself a favor and be a part of it.

The food is spectacular. This was my first time having the roasted broccolini, and it was to die for. We also had the Tomahawk Steak with scallops added o top,it did take quite some time for them to cook it, and the waiter compensated our wait with a complimentary salad for the table. This steak is humongous, and it was delicious. For the amount of food that we had, it was definitely worth the price.

It was a really nice meal. Really enjoyed it. We had deviled eggs, and great seasonal salad. Meat is their expertise and boy it was tender. The dessert was great too. Great all around restaurant.

A friend recommended Deacon's New South to us and I snagged one of two table that were left for our anniversary dinner. Oh my goodness!! This place was SO yummy, friendly, professional, and an honor to eat at. We were seated next to the kitchen and had a blast watching the grill and the chef finish each dish. It was truly watching an artist. The food was unbelievably good. We wanted a true steak restaurant for our meal and that was what we got. The drinks were good, the steaks were cooked to perfection, and the sides were amazing. Who knew that broccolini could taste like heaven?! We ended the night with cheesecake and even my non-cheesecake loving husband ate half of it. When we come to Nashville again, we will be eating here. It was the capstone on a great vacation and SUCH a wonderful experience. Thank you Deacon's New South for being amazing.

Hello and good morning! We do not offer valet parking. There are parking garages available in the immediate vicinity. We look forward to serving you soon.
Casual is acceptable but it's an upscale scene so why not impress a little. Enjoy.
Hi Gary, depending on your hunger level, the Tomahawk can be enjoyed alone or with friends.
No. There is a parking garage within a 5 min walk though.
