Our dog has been liking his legs the last few days, having a hard time to get up and is limping. I explained everything, mentioned that maybe he would need X-rays, maybe he’s feeling pain, internally, so the leg liking, I couldn’t see anything on his skin. The dog stayed there for a few hours, blood work was done and the diagnosis is skin allergy, nothing visible on his skin. He’s still limping and having a hard time to get up. I call today again. The office lady says I can go back, another fee, $125 to go to the same facility or go to the main campus, $100. Fine, the problem should have been detected the first time but fine. She call the supervisor, Kathy Colassanti, she says that the fee for the main campus is $300, “Im sorry, she gave you the wrong information. And the doctor recommended to take him to his regular vet for a visit in 2 weeks…” the dog is limping! And gets up with difficulty! Should I wait 2 weeks to take him to his regular vet? We’re taking our dog to another urgent care facility, with the same complaint that we had initially and was not properly investigated. The veterinarian that saw our pet is Dr. Yurick, I don’t think she knows what my dog has, he needed exams for the proper diagnosis and she just didn’t care. There are nice and responsible places around, look for a place where your pet will really be well taken care of.

We visited when our dog became ill while traveling from NJ. I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Yurick and staff. She was extremely thorough, yet practical, in testing him due to digestion issues. She appreciated that time and thoroughness were important since we were leaving in the morning. Not only were we sent off with detailed instructions, but she shared the information with 2 vets in the 2 states where we live. Our only regret is that she couldn’t be our full time vet as her expertise, professionalism and communication skills are far beyond what we have ever experienced for our dog.

this is easily the best emergency pet care i've had. completely different than medvet, and much better-- not just out to get your money! they really care about your pet and you as well. i took my cat because we were worried he wasn't peeing, which is life-threatening to males especially, and they told us he would be okay until morning to take to our normal vet. i had to put down a $500 down payment but it was so so much cheaper than i expected, just $125 for an exam by a vet. everyone there was so sweet, will go back if i ever have another emergency!

We had a terrible experience at MedVet Hillard (see my review of them) so brought our fur baby here. Had blood in urine and was very lethargic and a fever. They got seen within minutes. Only took about two hours and we were talking to vet. And it was only that long because they had an emergency trauma come in about 15 minutes after they took our dog back. In 3 hours we had our dog back and on the way home with meds and an action plan. Fortunately it was only a UTI and not kidney related. We were VERY please with the service, staff, and veterinarian. Price was high but not extreme, which is the norm for emergency service. If you need this kind of service this is the place IMO.

Unfortunately, we are only equipped to treat dogs and cats.
Hi Bella, Yes, we take credit cards. We accept payment for services via cash, check and the following credit cards: Visa, American Express, Mastercard, Discover. We also accept Care Credit.
We are a urgent care clinic. We have a set 120 fee to be seen that is due upfront and then anything the doctor decides needs done is added on separately at the end. Im new but I dont think we neuter dogs or cats unless it is medically necessary for it to be done, such as an infection or something. If would probably be a lot cheaper to go to a regular vet anyways but I can't provide any medical advice.
Depends on the day & time - there really is no straight forward answer unfortunately. Also, it depends on what department you are seeing. Wait time for an orthopedic or ophthalmology appointment is generally low because you have a designated appointment time where as urgent care will be when they can get to you and how critical your pet is...it's always a good thing to be waiting at an emergency room/urgent care because it means it's probably not fatal. 😅
I'm not a vet or anything but if I'm not mistaken, large amounts of garlic can be bad for them. Very small amounts should be ok
The only 24 hour emergency clinic that sees exotics is MedVet Hilliard
