Ian was amazing. Best customer service I have ever had at a BMV
Bridgett Clark
Great and quick service in the license part.
James Miller
With the exception of the cost to renew my driver’s license and plates (50% tax?!?!?) I’ve got no complaints. The first surprise was NO WAIT! The second surprise was a really nice customer agent (thank you Elizabeth!). The whole process took less than 15 minutes. Thank you Troy BMV!
George Ewing
Quick and efficient

There are different requirements for Standard and federally Compliant licenses. Please do your research at bmv.ohio.gov and feel free to call us with questions if you're unsure about something on the website. Thank you
I work near the bmv. The best time to go if possible is around 10 am.
What is the current cost for a State ID Card?
As long as the bank statement and W-2 have current address info, bank statement isn't more than 12 months old and your birth certificate is certified from the health department (not the hospital) and you've not had a legal name change, then YES.
Yes. DMV accept debit cards
Based on your question, certified birth certificate or ss card or a credit card with your name on it.
To the best of our knowledge in this office (we do not administer those tests) there are not options to have translators along on the road tests. Further questions should be directed to your Ohio BMV at 844-644-6268.
Your question can be read in a few different ways. The application process only takes a few minutes ~ 10 or less. The mailing process takes on average 10 days to a month depending on demand and USPS. You can now purchase an ID for a period of 4 birthdays or 8 birthdays, $10 or $19. Hope this helps and covers all of your questions!
There is an option to click on the home page at bmv.ohio.gov
Yes, we will be open normal hours. Friday 8-5 and Saturday 8-2.
Hi Richard. You may want to contact your local BMV exam station which is separate from the BMV where your license is issued. The exam station offers a written test in different languages I believe.
Assuming that you're referring to renewals, in this area the max fee is $61 and $55. Permissive taxes for each city and township would affect whether the total is this high.
Hi Phyllis. Depending on which type of license you have, you may only need one proof of identity to get a duplicate license. The best thing would be to call the office to find out exactly what you need. 937-335-6225, option 5. They open up tomorrow at 8am.
Yes, it does add a $10 processing fee
Hi Shelly. You will need your Ohio title for the new vehicle and your Ohio driver’s license or state I.D. It’s usually a good idea to call us before coming in so we can ask questions to determine whether you would need anything else. Thanks for your question!
You can, but be sure that you know what amount you owe and if there's any paperwork that needs to be submitted as well. There is a $10 service fee in the local offices.
The exam station is a separate office, you can contact them at 937-335-1057
License, title, and plates for 1 vehicle? I think it cost me about $75. Out of state vehicles require a VIN inspection which the office I visited could do on site, just make sure you bring the vehicle you are registering. If you pay with credit or debit, they'll charge a small fee.

Within the area, if the plate is not expired for more than 30 days, a passenger renewal would not be more than $66. There is an extra $100 fee for hybrid vehicles and a $200 fee for full electric vehicles.
Photo ID
Our office sells dog licenses annually between the first of December and the end of January. Any time outside of those dates you'd need to inquire at the Auditor's office or the Animal Shelter.
There are several scenarios that could result in different requirements. New ID? Never issued before? Lost? Expired more than 6 months? If we had some more info on the particular situation we could give a more complete answer.
At bmv.ohio.gov you can update your address. If you need to renew your I.D. or get a duplicate, you will need to visit your local BMV.
Your out of state inspection is just $3.50, your tags and registration fees are based on vehicle type, DOB, tax district and purchase date. Passenger vehicles in this area don't exceed $60 at renewal time and non-commercial trucks $75-$110 based on carrying capacity. If you're registration is less than a year it will be prorated, if you do a year+ it will be more than these figures. Hope this helps!
yes, with a bmv 5736 (power of attorney), or a signed renewal notice, your driver license and knowledge of the other person's driver license number
Apologies as the previous answer was irrelevant to your question. BMV 5736 available at bmv.ohio.gov signed by your husband and including his DL number or SSN would allow you to renew plates for him as long as it's an original doc/signature and you have your proper identification.
For the practical driving portion, yes. Troy's Exam Station can be reached at 937-335-1057 or you can schedule at ohiodrivingtest.com
Hello Yvonne, You will need to direct this question to the Miami County Title office as we do not process titles here at the BMV in Troy. Their phone number is: 937-332-6812 Thank you for your question, Chris Overton, Deputy Registrar
Yes.
About 30 bucks depending on the weight of the boat and the size of the motor you have to register the motor to
I was told you can apply for a 45 day temporary tag one time, so my guess would be probably not if you've already had a temp tag.
No
I think it is 20 to transfer.
Well you’ll have to get your license rewrote to your legal name that it was changed to and you need you birth certificate and your social security card rewrote as well.
