Terrible. The worst dining experience of my entire life. The wait staff was incredibly slow and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. It took almost 2.5 hours for us to dine there. All of our food was over cooked. I ordered the steak medium, and it was completely gray and cooked through. When I sent it back, the wait staff had the audacity to argue with me and tell me that my steak was cooked medium. I’ve been ordering steaks for decades and I know what a medium steak should be. Awful service, awful food. Save your time and money and don’t come here.

My fiance and I recently treated ourselves to dinner at Oak & Grain and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! The Inn at Pleasant Lake will be catering our wedding this fall and we were so excited to eat Chef Bryan's food while we were in the area over Fourth of July. Our server Olivia was knowledgeable and friendly, and the food was delicious. The scallops in particular are a must-try! If you are looking to treat yourself or celebrate a special occasion, I can't recommend Oak & Grain highly enough.

We have been for dinner & brunch. Both were exceptional! The chef comes into the cozy living room to explain the meal & the local places where the ingredients were purchased. They have interesting cocktails before dinner & a great wine list. I would highly recommend.

How does your wine program work? I'm always looking for new wines to try.

We have a very active wine program and offer several fun options. We run an ~80 bottle wine cellar that we assess and adjust monthly. Wines by the bottle and by the glass are offered. We feature certain bottles on Wednesdays for guest to try. Our most popular service is our Chef Suggested wine pairings, expertly chosen to compliment the flavors of that night's meal. These are super nice as they allow guests to try wines we don;t normally offer by the glass. For those true wine enthusiasts, check out our Wine ad Dine package for an immersive experience.

How is 3 course different from your traditional 5 course dining?

Oak & Grain (Owner) | Apr 6, 2020
Oak & Grain (Owner) | Apr 7, 2020

5 course is single seating starting at 7:00pm, preceded by cocktail reception and Chef presentation of the meal. There are choices of 3 main entrees, but it is largely price fixed model. The 3-course offers flexible dining times from 5:30 - 9:00, 4 - 5 selections in each of the courses: Starters, Entrees, Desserts. There is no chef presentation or cocktail reception, but if you wish to arrive early and hang out, we'd be happy to get you a cocktail! 3- course was designed to be a shorter experience if you wish, with more flexibility and more selection. Same great service and quality and creativity of food.

3 course dining is offered Nov to mid-May, on Tues, Wed, Sun nights. Signature 5 course is always available on Fri and Sat, and 5 nights (Wed - Sun) from Mid-May to Nov. Our 3 course offers flexible dining times, and choices in starters, entrees, desserts.

Do you serve dinners Monday or Tuesday?

Oak & Grain (Owner) | Apr 6, 2020
Oak & Grain (Owner) | Apr 7, 2020

We serve dinners Wed - Sun. Mon and Tues are Chef's night off. We provide a personalized experience with direct engagement with our executive chef. Each night is a custom creation, not a set a la carte menu. Chef does need a few nights off here and there :).
