This place calls themselves a local Maine bookstore on the coast of Maine, but when I asked them to consider stocking a well reviewed self published book set in a local setting that any local would recognize, they refused. No local homegrown grassroots support here mate.

It's very nice to still find small book stores serving their local community of readers. Book Review is very small but has a good curated selection of both hard and soft cover books, gifts, and cards. The staff is attentive to customer questions and will do what they can to help direct the reader's query. They may not have what you want, but they can get you what you need.

Hello, all our staff wear masks, we have counter shields, a sanitizing station as you enter the store and we are only allowing 8 customers in the store at one time, but usually crowds are never an issue. We frequently wipe down high touch zones and we have an air purifier running all day. Hope this will make you feel safe to browse comfortably. We also offer curbside pick up and do local deliveries.
