I LOVE this store. The minute I walked in I felt like home. My father was born in 1930 and the majority of the items in the store were from World War II and after. I politely asked to the restroom and the gentleman showed me the way. The bathroom was clean! Upon exiting the bathroom the gentleman asked me where I was from and if I seen the museum next door. I hadn't so, I decided to have a look! I was immediately taken back to my childhood! So much if what was on display was part of my life. The owner said there are 3 siblings who run the store snd 10 grandkids who are in line. He was incredible we shared stories of our pasts! I told him my first bicycle had cement tires! Seriously! I also told him my daddy was old school. He stood for the flag, prayed over his meals, taught me to live off the land, and taught me never to take anyone's #$%@. I love ❤️ this place!Thank you for making me feel like family. I love the compass I purchased!

Amazing place. I was referred here from the Bayou Lacombe Museum that I went to the other day. This is half museum about the great city of Covington, Louisiana and it's creation and half hardware store. There wasn't anyone really to tell me about everything, but it was amazing to walk through. Free museum, but I bought some postcards to send to friends and some handmade soaps. I would recommend this to anyone in the area or coming to the area. Great place, friendly employees, well organized, great stuff to buy.

This General store has plenty of small decorative iron items, crawfish cooking tools, cast iron fire ovens, chains, yard decorations, bar signs, fly swatters, iron numbers for residents, ropes, tons of hardware for clamps and rings and much more. It's home to a small free museum in the back of the store that not many people know about. It's a rare entity and worth the visit to check out the museum or buy decor for your yard or needed last minute items for camping like lanterns, boiling pads and things you forget you need for anything out doors including canoes. 😂⭐️🏆
