My husband is staying at the home. He retired from the army with 30 years of service. The staff and all who care for him do a wonderful job. They are caring beyond their duties. I cannot thank the staff for all they do for my husband. Thank you again for your service to these veterans that served so we may be safe and free.

I have dealt with nursing homes, etc. Dealing with my parents. This place is incredible. Always striving for improvements. For 2 years I have visited every week. You would pay 5 or 6 thousand a month anywhere else for this care. And trust me, you wouldn't get the attention to details you get here. No, I haven't been here at night. So, I don't know what care they get then. But, if it's half what the day crew give. Thank God!

I believe so. I've seen them stay just for a couple weeks till they got better. Good luck.
The Louisiana Veterans Home is a state operated nursing facility. Any questions regarding the facility should be forwarded to the Administrator or the staff at 225-342-8998.
They have no problem with kids coming to visit and bring gifts. Long as they are accompanied by an adult and this would be real nice around this time of the year.
Best way is call the social worker at site. They can walk you through process.
