I would love to get a puppy something small live in a apartment. I lost my last dog because of health reasons. Please Help

They ask the community to take care of their free dogs the ones abandoned by irresponsible owners and despise the joy of actually buying a full bred puppy that could make a better pet. They hate on breeders because we’re suppose to all take abandoned animals. Some people have allergies and need other dogs or want dogs who can play with children but they intimidate people to buy otherwise. They complain about not having homes for their dogs but make the process so hard. They are absolutely ridiculous. The whole process has become absurd.

I really wanted to adopt Snookie, but due to my age and fear of covid (not to mention the weather today) I was unable to come to the CAAWS shelter today. My family and I have adopted from CAAWS two other times over the years. I understand your caution when placing an animal for adoption, but our past experience with you should count for something. As an older dog I am afraid Snookie will be hard to place. I hope I am wrong and a loving family makes her a part of their family. Sincerely, Connie (Constance) Meyers

You're talking about surrending an animal. Yes, they do it but they take down information about whomever surrenders it.
We have a program where we can list them for adoption, but they usually stay with you while we help find them a home. Or you can surrender them to Companion Animal Alliance - the public shelter that we normally pull dogs from. Before they can be put up for adoption there is a mandatory 5 day hold period where good effort to find the owner must be made. Call the shelter and leave a voice mail if you have more questions and someone should get back to you!
You should get your cat to a vet. We do not have any vets at our facility because we are all volunteer organization.
Call them
We no longer have an exotic animal chairperson so we only have dogs and cats. There is a ferret rescue locally called Woogie Wescue.
Look for an acutal home you took the time.to.findyourself a home right ?! Then take the time to.find them a loving home instead of bringing the poor babies to the shelter. Let your loved one wake.up one day and say I don't have the time nor money for you and drop you off like that
Bring it to cat haven they can find it a home.
Our dog adoption fee is $125.
Hi Ms. Hayden, as of right now we do not have any pugs. Please see our facebook or website to see what we have available. http://www.caaws.org/adopt/dogs or http://www.facebook.com/caawsbr. You could also look for a breed specific rescue such as those found here: https://www.pugvillage.com/pug-rescue/local-pug-rescues. We don't seem to have any locally though.
Go to their website and see what the process is
Thank you Sharon so much for asking and thanks to Danna and Greg for answering. You can go to our website and donate through PayPal directly, http://www.caaws.org/donate/
We do not have any Calico kittens at this time. You can view all of our animals on our website at www.caaws.org or on our facebook page.
This isn't CAA/animal control. They have an intake process, go to there website.
This is a non profit org, go to the website and see how they accept in new animals. They're not animal control, aka CAA
