I was purchasing a crock pot at this store, and was about to pay with my gift cards. The gift cards are older; I was told that since they never expire, they simply need to be converted into a new format, and this can be done at any of the remaining Sears stores. The sales person Way (or Wayne?) didn't know how to do it. I asked him to call the manager for help. To my big surprise, he said he was the manager. He said I should drive to some other store to do it (the closest store is 1 hour 20 min away, in MD), because he tried to do it a couple of times for other customers, and every time he failed. My question is: if one is in service to their customers and cares, why don't they learn, how to do this kind of basic operations, and why aren't they interested to grow in their field? When I mentioned that it would be nice for him to learn how to do it (since customers ask about it periodically), he got really upset with me, and said he doesn't appreciate my suggestions. Aside from this, the store is not a pleasant place. There is a big sign on the door that customers can't use their bathroom. In addition, several months ago, my family ordered an appliance from them and received a completely different product. Incapable manager; poor customer service; unprofessional behavior.

The guy working tried to run us out of the store telling us the store was not an entrance to the mall. We explained we were looking for a mattress and he walked away and got on the phone. We browsed mattresses and waited 45 minutes for him to return but he was not interested in selling mattresses.

RUN AWAY! DO NOT BUY A KENMORE FRIDGE FROM SEARS! We bought a Kenmore refrigerator and in less than six months, it stopped keeping things cold. We had to schedule FIVE different service appointments and have spent HOURS on the phone only to be told we would have to go TWO MONTHS without a working fridge. We asked to get a backup mini fridge in the mean time to keep our food- that was a no. We were offered $20- LAUGHABLE! We have lost HUNDREDS of dollars in food alone not to mention HOURS and paid time off trying to get this thing fixed. By the way.... it is still not fixed and we are not allowed to return it. RUN.

Tina was great. I love Sears. I buy all my appliances from Sears. Better service than Lowes and Home Depot. I Have been a Sears customer for 35 years.

Go to Lowe's in Mechanicsburg
They dont have as much to choose from, they are only mattress and appliance now. But they can order in yet.
