Really neat plants to be found here! Many American chestnut trees of decent size (relatively speaking) and streams and marshy ponds in the forest.

It's remote and very private. We're camping by the squanacook river. It's beautiful here.

Always a great time when my family visits here. Lots of space to explore and fun little outlets off the main road to stop and enjoy lunch. Make sure you stop in at the ranger station to pay for your lunch spot, last I knew it was about $5.00 and each picnic table has a grill so you can really have a fun afternoon, splashing in the river and enjoying family time out in the woods.
