Mimi Sophisticated Discussion

I went there because of heart palpitations and discovered my potassium was at a dangerously low level. I was admired and treated with liquid potassium and pills. They stopped my treatment early because the nurse was going get me saline IV fluid that she never came back with and she never restarted my potassium even after me asking. She refused saying ‘who told you you needed to finish?’ So they were starving me with no food or water and no iv knowing I’m dehydrated. I have epilepsy. I told them several times although I haven’t had a seizure in years. Well I felt a seizure coming on and pressed nurse button and said I need help immediately but they did not come for over 20 minutes and then they were yelling at me saying calm down you’re just having a panic attack. They turned me on my back, which is the wrong thing to do and were holding me down and put a blood pressure cup for me which was squeezing my arm and making my hands which were seizing worse. Siri called my mother because Siri heard me ask for help before I wanna see a fool grand mal seizure. My mother called the hospital and the nurse told her that they heard me but I was just having a panic attack. My mother told him that I have epilepsy and they did not care. After my seizure was over I heard the nurses say that I am wrong for faking a seizure. I went to get a CAT scan shortly after that and when they got the results the next day which is the same day they discharged me, the doctor came and said that I need seizure medicine because I had a seizure . I saw the nurse and I asked her so did you see that I was having a seizure? She said yeah I saw that. The doctor told me. I am traumatized! They were going to let me die. They heard me yelling out and they did not come to see what was going on.

They were quick and efficient. The doctor listened to what was going on and correctly diagnosed me (I had previously been misdiagnosed at an urgent care). He took the time to show me pictures of what was going on. It was my first trip to the ER and I was very nervous but they made me feel a lot better.

Went in with a nail through my thumb, luckily it wasn't crowded and I was brought into a room immediately. Everyone there was very kind and friendly. It only took 2.5 hours for them to do an xray, pull the nail, then another xray. Seems quick for an ER visit.

I would like to recognize the excellent service from four people! Their names are: Alayna (PA-C) Tennesha (RN), Donna (Nurse) and Mark (CT Technologist) from the ER Department at West Bank facility. They were very empathetic, kind, showing a professional attitude and made me feel cared and valued. Mark (CT Technologist) provided me a pillow and a blanket he was doing an outstanding job. Thank you very much each one for your kindness and for showing great vocation when working with patients. I'm typing this review from the hospital parking lot before go home because they deserve a good recognition regards their outstanding patient's service delivered today! Once again thank you very much for making a difference in patients life.

Questions & Answers

I believe my ribs are broken from a slip and fall. Is it worth going to the ER or just grin and bare it?

Go to the ER. You could puncture a lung, or bleed into your plural space suffocating you. Best to check it out and get treated. Best case scenario you don't die, worst case scenario you do.
