Too long of a wait before I saw anyone. That is my only complaint.

Once again another doctor's office looks down on the patient and refuses service. What happened you ask? Well my husband went in for a simple eye infection. He was given antibiotics but apparently at some point was told to return in 5 months. Well, as life sometimes happens, busyness happened and he forgot. When he later got some debris in his eye at work, they refused to see him without a worker's comp case opened up and because he never did a follow up appointment from the eye infection. I personally have never been told to do a follow up for an eye infection. I also don't understand why they would let someone suffer with something in their eye because the person didn't create a firestorm with their place of employment over workers' comp. He ended up going to an urgent care and they quickly and efficiently removed the tiny debris that got stuck inside his eye. What really bothered me was the tone of the office manager. She was aloof and condescending and seemed to sit just a bit too high on her perch. An attitude like that is extremely off-putting. Besides this one situation, I myself have gone there with the hopes of getting a prescription for dry eye syndrome (and was diagnosed properly), but they still failed to procure a prescription for me despite me calling and asking. How someone can be diagnosed with dry eye syndrome but still denied a prescription is beyond me. I know there aren't a lot of choices in this area, but just be aware that if you don't follow up as asked, they will make you feel like garbage and dump you as a patient with very very little empathy and understanding.

Dealing with any problems of one's vision can be extremely scary. I have been to two other practices where the doctor's did not feel my anxiety and concerns with my visions future. Then I found Dr. Selvadurai and the staff at BO, who at each visit welcome me and go through a variety of tests which make me feel they are covering every aspect of "change" that is occurring in my vision. Then Dr. Selvadurai spends the time reviewing with you the current tests and walks you through her plan to help you. She assures you as long as you follow her plan you are OK. One time I had a scare with one of my eyes, it was on the day after Thanksgiving. I called the office and Dr. Selvadurai called me right back assuring me it was ok and relaxed me. She understands the importance of what her practice is to the many patients she has but, personally remember each and attends to their needs. The staff completes this by their polite manner and patience with us patients and our many questions. Excellent practice I highly recommend!

We do not see young children unless they are referred for a medical problem from another eyecare provider.
