Every time I've called, and it's been several, I was spoken to with professionalism and compassion.

Made me feel incredibly stupid and absolutely dull unhelpful responses from my crisis counselor . Actually set me off further into a panic attack which caused a huge argument with my family.

Does crisis services give you a place to say if you can no longer be in your household?

no they'll lie to you about what they can do though. they always have police with them and it's intimidating, be careful about what you say.

I wouldn’t utilize this service if my life depended on it. They purposefully LIE, and have armed cops with them at all times. More triggering than helpful in 99% of circumstances. Why they still exist is beyond me. if you’d like armed cops to be in the room during your counseling session, go for it!! That was their requirement for me

Crisis Services says it's unreasonable to ask my neighbor to turn their ceiling fan off. I can't sleep over the hum it makes, they told me to go to therapy to resolve this. which therapist will teach/train me to sleep over the hum of a ceiling fan?

I can't sleep with earplugs in my ears. excessive headphone use from about 2013-2016 seems to have caused an inner ear issue that won't resolve, I have tinnitus in my left ear and wearing any kind of headphone or earmuff for periods as short as 5 minutes makes the tinnitus worse for 7+ days. an ENT finds nothing other than moderate hearing loss and says balance testing might be the next step. I only adopted the excessive headphone use in the past because my previous downstairs neighbor refused to communicate about anything face to face and thus I couldn't ever ask if the speakers on my media devices were too loud, they eventually threatened to sue over alleged "outbursts" (they also told 911 that I hear voices, which is not true. I wish!) the person that lives down there now calls the police on me for knocking on their door asking them to please turn their TV down at 1am, the police told me to call them next time this person plays their TV too loud.

You should call 211, which might be able to get you a place to stay for the night, then you'll have to contact the Department of Social Services. If you've been the victim of domestic violence, you can contact Haven House at 884-6002 for non emergency, or 884-6000 for emergency. I hope this helps.
