Super fun park. Well maintained and kids enjoyed it on cold but sunny day. Has restrooms. Don't forget to carry your WA state parks pass else admission is $25 when entrance booth is open

We got there 1.5 hrs before they closed for the day. The people sledding seemed to follow the rules set in place. There were 5 or 6 lanes, I can't remember, but plenty to accommodate the number of people there. There is a large parking lot but bathrooms need some attention. A $25 parking fee for the day is a little steep, IMHO. The park will close on time as they have an attendant comes out to the sledding park announcing that the park is closed. Overall, it was a good experience.

Great for kids. Lots of space and different hills to sled. The main hill is popular with 5-7 people deep for each lane. Generic spaces with snow piles where kids can dig caves, very popular.

Fun park to go snow tubing, go for a walk in snow shoes or go for a ski run. Parking is quite spacious. You should carry chains with you just in case - when it snows, it gets extreme. Restrooms in the park are heated and clean. Parking at the park is paid.

Between dec 1- March 31st you will need a Sno-Park permit. Before or after those dates you will ALSO need a discover pass in addition to the sno-park permit. Full info here https://parks.state.wa.us/130/Winter-recreation
We were up Monday. Enough snow for the little kiddies to sled next to the flat park area, but not on the official sledding hill.
Go over the east side of the pass to crystal springs snow park at lake kachess exit.
I don't see why not,if they aren't there are probably other places you can get your snow on up there for sure.
Only about an inch or 2 overnight. Plenty of snow on the ground and more coming this afternoon into overnight...
No, there is not enough snow currently for the big sledding hill. Many people were in the small area next to the trail yesterday with the little ones and some people walked down the trail to find some snowy slopes.
Thank you Cheryl. So we just go to the Hyak park and sledding is easy to find?
It's state government, not federal. Everything is open
Not unless there is a dot camera on the parking lot.
You just need one per car
Yes, but on weekends only.
For the parking lot yes, but dogs are not allowed on the trails. Washington state parks has a fine if its on the groomed trails.
No dogs in snow per the rules. They had enough snow to sled. Heads up Weekends are busy.
Yes, but today was a little crunchy. Looks like fresh snow coming tomorrow, so the rest of the weekend should be fun.
We just paid at the site there is someone there to help you. I'm not sure about the website.
You can buy a permit at the sno-park or online ahead of time. It'll save you 10 minutes in line if you buy it on the washington parks site ahead of time. 10am is probably peak time at Hyak and you might not get parking. The lot opens 8am. I've observed that by noon some people are starting to leave, so parking opens up again.
Probably at the summit Hyak state park has nothing to do with the summit or ski resorts they are private owned
You go snowmobiling at Crystal springs it the stampede exit 62 .stampede pass .
I know you have to do everything on line but I don't have the link. Try Google Discover Pass?
How early do I need to be there to get a parking space? 10am good enough?
Considering that it is an outdoor park, social distancing and masks are the way to go. As far as I could see, there weren't any new rules regarding outdoor parks. Mask up!
Definitely!!
Yes
Snow is there. Ski season has not opened.
Masks are required in the bathrooms, and to help keep everyone safe it would awesome if everyone would have and wear a mask anytime they come close to other people on the trails or sledding hill.
No snow. And the wildflowers are in full bloom!
Sorry back in UK now can't help
Not at all, this is a family park..
We went last week and yes you pay at the ranger stop at parking lot $20 per car. I asked about the state or federal park passes and the lady explained that during this time of the year it doesn't matter as they become a theme park and passes don't count. Not sure if its true just what they told me. Also be are since they only have enough snow for the small kids hills and not food or drink are located their. Large sled hill needs 2 more ft of snow before it opens.
Sled down, then walk back up...
Yes there is $20 fee to park but if you are creative I saw some park on some back streets near by and walk over. Also the big sled hill is not open and they said need 2 more feet of snow for that one. Now it's just hard packed snow for kids to use and sled down
Best answer could be a phone call away. I would call the hyak Sno-Park
I don't see why not. I'm sure once you show up people would be willing to help accommodate your unique request.
That's what we did as well.
I believe Snoqualmie Pass elevation is 3015 ft. However tiny would need to check with your doctor for their recommendations on bringing a baby to any mountain.
Not that I've seen.
No not allowed.
Yes

I would expect so. It was open yesterday. Long queue to get to pay booth though. We found a space in the car park quite easily
We were there on Sunday it was closed because there wasn't enough snow yet but said it should open this week.
I don't think they are do to bathroom issues.
Park will be open. No staff will be present. The sledding hill will be closed.
Yes
All week yes lil slow during the weekday
With the latest snow I would expect that they would be.
Yes it will be open. Staff may or may not be there.
Sledding hill is closed. Probably won't open till January.
Always take chains!!!
Yes $10 if you have a Discovery Pass
No they don't. You are welcome to take your own tube.
It's been raining in the mountains so the snow is probably wet and it's only 42 degrees so it's melting too you could go but not ideal
There was *just* enough today, assuming you were ok dodging some dirt and rolling over some plant stalks. I'll add a photo.
