I've always enjoyed visiting these falls. Even with my bad knees I can manage to make it down to the falls and back up to the parking area without too much trouble. The stairs are interspersed with a not too steep path, and there is also an observation deck where anyone of any ability can access. To go underneath the falls you have to descend the stairs, but the observation deck is wheelchair accessible and you can see the falls from a distance.

As long as you are capable to do stairs, the access to see the falls is easy. No hiking required. There are some stairs and a walk down (then back up) a relatively short paved incline. Worth it to see the beautiful falls and have the opportunity to walk behind them. The drive on 64 to get there is not for the faint of heart, but the falls are beautiful.

Absolutely worth a stop! Beautiful falls! Limited parking that can fill up fast. Careful on stairs in winter they can ice up.

What awesome view and sight, we took the short easy walk down and behind the falls. Took some pictures and made a memorable trip even better. Parking can be a pain but have patience and spot will open, just wait at the entrance. It a honor system self pay, worth the 2 or 3 bucks per persons.

Not alot of parking. Steep steps to get to walk way to go behind falls. But well worth it.

No campgrounds at the falls, but a small NFS campground within a mile or two.

Is this walking route wheelchair accessible also? Or, are there steps preventing a access?

The area under the falls was closed since I'd last been there when we went in late March. The viewing platform was nice and wheelchair assessable. You could see everything from there.
