Zero stars for the lady answering the phone with an attitude at 4:30 am Saying “we always have a doctor in the ER” because when I got here it was wasn’t no doctor. The three stars is for the emergency room staff being so nice.

Came from out of town, my toddler had a cough and trouble breathing. Took her in around 1am. They took us in right away everyone was so kind and attentive. Probably one of the best treatment from hospital staff that I’d gotten with my baby.

I never experienced such unprofessional care from an emergency room. The staff in Rockton Ave ER were rude n abusive. Did not listen to me when I told them they could not use my right arm to start my IV. The physician, the resident n the nurses all were abusive n disrespectful. Eight times they attempted to start the IV. I told them right from the start I was a hard stick n I needed a scan n they did not listen to me. They used an infiltrated site for the dye in CT n all they dye leaked into my arm. My arm swelled up twice the size n was hard as a rock. I was sick for two weeks because of there neglegence. I am a retired LPN that worked in the health care system for thirty-five years. I have worked at RMH. It’s a shame what has happened to that facility. Myself nor any of my family will never use Mercy Health in the future.

If I could give a negative star I would (Rockton ave). My husband who has a history of heart problems went to the emergency room with pressure on his chest. They took blood, x-rays and a EKG and set him in the waiting room for over 4-hours. When I called they told me they were busy, .y husband said there was 1-person in the waiting room when he arrived and when they FINALLY took him back almost ALL of the rooms were EMPTY!!!!!!! They just built a multi-million dollar hospital on Riverside? Are you kidding me? They had 1 doctor and 2 nurses that is it. If you cannot service your patients close this location down!!!!!!!!!

Clinic labs are not open on Sunday's. They reopen Monday between 7:30 and 8 am.
There have been a lot of changes with new ownership I am disappointed with the fact that Insurance is a determining factor in our health care system and that Mercy Health doesn't accept State Insurance anymore? Any human that needs medical attention should have the right to immediate medical care and treatment and insurance coverage should not be allowed to determine where to receive such services!
They accept all insurance mandatory by state of Illinois also have a program that can help if not insured

Its under partial shutdown, no Trauma in the ER, no Baby Unit anymore and I forget what else

Many...many...many surgeries at RMH..better than the 4 I had at OSF surgeries that had post op problems...just check out your Dr...make sure he and his staff will advocate for you... I've always had private rooms at RMH...but not at OSF
