3.8/5.0. My father suffered from a stroke and was an inpatient at Kessler for 3 weeks last July.  And I’d have to say our experience overall was mixed. Although you’re not really permitted to observe any of the rehab sessions (other than for one status update meeting) which seems a bit curious, we did find all of the therapists to be generally excellent. As far as the nursing and aide assistance is concerned, it ranged from very good to barely average depending on the particular individual.  Some were very responsive and others hardly at all. The main problem however, was with the administration.  The communication was for the most part poor and in the end we were only afforded 5 working days’ notice for his discharge date - which aside from not allowing much time to adequately research and make a decision on the new facility to have him transferred to - also caused a serious conflict with a medical appointment for my mother.  Despite continual pleas, no flexibility was offered whatsoever to allow for any extension of time even for an extra day despite our willingness to pay out-of-pocket for any addental cost. In summary if you’re in the situation we were in, where you’re being discharged from the hospital and don’t have the luxury of time to research an acute care center, then you could do worse than Kessler.  But if you do have the time to look into and evaluate other facilities, we would not recommend this one.

I was an out patient. I apologize if I am posting for in patient rehab. Initially the the therapy was wonderful. Unfortunately the end result of the therapy was very poor I am in very bad condition. My doctor registered for nerve desensitization. Therapy Itii anytime can not drive and I was better off before I started. Don't go. Therapist didn't listen and was very difficult. It isn't brain science. I had many sleepless nights with pain and they didn't care I should have left. I called and told therapist and Supervisor of outcome. Never received a return call. Stay away at all costs. They work on 2 to 3 people at a time. One protocol for everyone

After breaking two bones in the pelvic area and spending 2 nights in the hospital (no surgery), in November 2021 I spent 2 weeks at Kessler with zero weightbearing on the injured L side and a compromised and not so great R knee. I needed help with everything having to do with getting up and down. The PT and OT staff were wonderful, and the nurses and aides were, too. The kitchen did a great job at accommodating my mostly vegan and healthy food requests. I felt so blessed that Kessler accepted and kept me for the full 2 weeks. Thank you to everyone at Kessler!

After a surprising stroke at 50, I was referred to Kessler by a trusted friend . I was certainly not dissatisfied with any aspect of the services!! Nursing was amazing and no way I would be where I am without the incredible therapy team!! Thank you all for everything!!!!!!!
