Great dog park. Good size and well maintained. Typically additional bags on site if you happen to forget yours. There’s no “small dog” section, and visitors seem to have reasonable expectations of canine social etiquette.

It was cool pretty big all sizes of dogs are in one pen tho so there no separation.. if you want that try the dog park near barger.

Such a fun place to visit with your doggie(s) everyone is so kind and the dogs love to meet up. Best dog park in town. Plastic bags provided. If your dog isn't social, bring him or her anyway and keep on a leash. Ease them into it. It's rewarding to be part of the community here at Alton Baker park. My Wendy. She loves it! 💗✌

If you park over in the stadium parking area for the park, it is about 100ft to the fenced area then another 25 feet to a bench. *Disclaimer* I am only guesstimatimg the footage.
I have been there a few times at sunset and I haven't seen any kind of lighting. Some people choose to put light up collars or similar on their dogs to stay a little later but it's a daytime use kind of place for the most part.
Yeah the area is all fenced in and you can let your dog off the leash
